African Cichlids

If you want a tank full of the most brightly colored freshwater fish you could ever see, then African Cichlids is the fish for you. African Cichlids come from three great lakes in Africa: Malawi, Tanganyika and Victoria. There are over a hundred of African Cichlid species but not all makes good fish for an aquarium as they are territorial and have the tendency to be aggressive towards other Freshwater Cichlids. This behavior may be dealt with by considering aspects like male to female ratio in the tank and providing them structured areas and hiding spots within your aquarium.
